One of the key elements associated with optimum oral hygiene includes making sure you are flossing every single day. With your flossing routine comes great responsibilities, so it is important to make sure that you’re using durable products that can continue to work hard for you to keep the areas between your teeth clean.

If you have issues associated with plaque buildup and food particles stuck between teeth, you will have to focus on using interdental cleaning tools to reach it. Because your brush will not be able to adequately reach the areas between teeth, dental floss will need to be used. If you do decide on using threaded dental floss, make sure it is shred-resistant so that it does not tear when being used. To prevent contamination, never use the same strand of dental floss between more than one tooth. Ideally, you should use a strand that is roughly sixteen to twenty inches in length, so you can move up and down the strand as needed. For additional help with improving your oral hygiene care, visit your dentist every six months for a professional cleaning.
